The St. John Lutheran congregation honored three church organists with a potluck dinner on April 14. Betty Mueller and Adeline Bernhardt have retired after many years of service. Joyce Medley is the current organist. Each received a plaque with a photograph of the stained glass window at the front of the church and an inscription of appreciation.
Tom and Dee Duggan attended a meeting of the Silver-Haired Legislature at the Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging April 17 in Manhattan. They then ate supper with daughter, Deb Hall, in Herington.
Ashton and Sydney Smith of Pilsen and Lucille Kerbs enjoyed breakfast out April 15 in Durham.
Daniel and Melissa Stuchlik and Allie were hosts for a birthday party and barbecue supper April 13 in celebration of Tanner Stuchlik’s 9th birthday. Guests were Frances Stuchlik and Monte and Sarah Stuchlik of Lost Springs, Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion, Mike and Candee Thode of Wichita, Ross and Megan Stuchlik of Lincolnville and Leona Kleiber. The group also sang “Happy Birthday” to Terry in celebration of his belated birthday.
Jerry and Jeanne Rziha went to Great Bend on April 14. Jeanne attended a baby shower for Jerry’s niece Valerie. Later, they joined other family members for supper at the home of Jim and Jolene Rziha.
Multiple Tampa residents attended the game night April 14 in Ramona. They included Tom and Dee Duggan, Adeline Bernhardt, Don Witt, and Donna Bundy.
Mike and Jennifer Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, Brad Backhus, Jason Backhus, and Alisha Barney were April 14 visitors of Paul and Edna Backhus after the church potluck.
Lucille Kerbs visited her daughter, Connie Thompson, April 13 in Abilene. They joined Clayton and Leah Kerbs and Porter of Abilene for dinner out.
Leona Kleiber accompanied Lynn and Peggy Kleiber to the home of Dale and Andrea Klenda, Elijah, Evan and Silas, where they, along with Terry Klenda, were supper guests.
Tom and Dee Duggan attended the post-wedding party April 13 for Thieen and Chelsey Antoszyk in Pilsen.
Jason Backhus was a groomsman in the wedding of Tim and Annette Steinart on April 13 at the Church of Christ in Wichita with a reception following at the VFW hall. Other Tampa residents who attended the wedding were Paul and Edna Backhus, Barney, and Phyllis and Rodney Mueller.
Before the wedding, Paul, Edna, Jason, and Barney attended customer appreciation day at Preferred Pumps with a hog roast and drawings for prizes. The women played bingo while the men were examining exhibits of the company’s products. Paul, Edna, and Barney all won prizes.

Shirley and Don Zaideman were visited by granddaughters Amanda Zaideman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Carrie Hyde of Fort Worth, Texas, April 8 through 12. They visited Amanda’s aunt and Carrie’s mother, Carol Reed, in the hospital.
