Team wins Hesston tourney

Marion County’s 18 and under travel baseball team went undefeated Saturday and Sunday to win a Central Kansas League tournament in Hesston.

The team was 5-0 in the tournament and came from behind to win in four of its five games.

The team’s record entering this week was 16-4. Additional games are planned for 6 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Field in Hillsboro. The team’s Tuesday games were cancelled because of wet field conditions.
