The Hillsboro boys’ tennis team competed Thursday at Conway Springs in its first matches of the season.

Jacob Isaac lost 8-1, 8-2, and 8-1 to players from Conway Springs, McPherson, and Wichita Trinity in No. 1 singles.

Dakota Klein lost 8-1, 8-0, and 8-4 to players from the same teams in No. 2 singles.

“Our guys made some nice shots,” coach Stuart Holmes said. “They have improved over last year. We still have many aspects of the game to work on.”
