Hillsboro Recreation Commission has extended the deadline for enrollment in the female self-defense class to 5 p.m. Thursday.

The course will be taught by instructor Ko Hai Mervin Lare and is scheduled for four consecutive Mondays beginning this coming Monday at 7:30 p.m. It is available for females aged 16 and up. The cost is $40 for the first family member and $20 for additional family members living in the same household.

Classes will be at the Gordon Mohn Community Center at Hillsboro Elementary School.
