Trojan Classic brackets announced
Hillsboro girls will play at 6 p.m. and boys at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the Trojan Classic.
Both games will be at the high school gym.
The sixth-seeded girls will play against third-seeded Eureka. The fourth-seeded boys will play fifth-seeded Remington.
Tuesday’s opening round games will play both at the high school and Tabor College with Friday’s consolation round at Tabor before shifting to the high school.
Saturday’s seventh-place games will play at the old high school gym. Competition will conclude Jan. 19.
Girls’ tournament seeds in order are Clay Center (7-0), Hesston (7-1), Riley County (5-1), Remington (2-5), Republic County (1-7), and Holcomb (0-7).
Boys’ seeds are Riley County (5-1), Hesston (6-2), Holcomb (4-3), Eureka (4-3), Republic County (4-4), and Clay Center (1-6).
The Trojan Booster Club is still needing volunteers to help out with the tournament.
