The Hillsboro High School wrestling team lost dual matches to Halstead and Minneapolis Thursday in Minneapolis.
The Trojans lost 34-21 to Halstead and 57-12 to Minneapolis.
Freshman Jon Carey and junior Tanner Jones went undefeated during the night.
“As expected, these opening duals gave us an early indication of where we stand; both Halstead and Minneapolis had some talented and experienced wrestlers,” coach Scott O’Hare said. “We looked good at times and did some good things, however, we also made our share of mistakes and took it on the chin a few times.”
The Trojans have another tough test Saturday at the Hesston Invitational Tournament, which features a formidable variety of wrestlers.
