Trojans compete at music festival
Hillsboro High School band and choir students competed Saturday, at the regional solo and ensemble festival held at Tabor College.
Students receiving a āIā rating advance to the State Festival on April 28 at Kansas Weslyan University.
Groups receiving a I rating included mixed ensemble No. 1, boys ensemble, Spirit-N-Celebration, SNC women, SNC men, and saxophone quartet.
Vocal soloists who qualified for state Breanna Dittert, Dillon Boldt, Kyla Isaac, Grace Major, Tristan Reed, Caleb Rempel, and Colin Settle. Sarah Diener qualified in clarinet.
Those receiving II ratings included mixed ensemble No. 2, soloists Eva Franz, Sonja Jost, Charlie Major, Taryah Miller, and Kayla Gunn in flute and vocal.
