Hillsboro High School placed in the top five in No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles Thursday at a “C” tournament in Hesston.
Jacob Isaac and Dakota Klein went 2-1, splitting two matches in pool play and winning the No. 1 doubles third place match 6-1. Dylan Wiens went 1-2 to take fifth in No. 2 singles.
“It was great to see Jacob and Dakota earn medals and play some good tennis like I’ve always thought they could,” coach Stuart Holmes said. “Dylan got his first tennis victory of his career. He has persevered with a positive attitude and keeps hustling in every match.”
Wiens went 0-3 in No. 2 singles, and Isaac and Klein went 2-1 in No. 2 doubles play April 19 at the Hillsboro invitational tournament.
