Hillsboro Recreation Commission is offering two new programs.

The first is a field trip for youth to Rolling Hills Zoo near Salina, sponsored by Rod’s Tire.

Cost is $30 and due by Oct. 19.

A pumpkin-carving class will be 2-3:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Each participant will receive a pumpkin and carving kit along with several patterns.

This class is limited to 20 3-6 graders. Registration fee is $10 and due Oct. 24.
