Former Tampa resident Vera L. Dirks, 88, died Tuesday at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge.

 Funeral Service was Monday, at Morning Star Mennonite Church, rural Tampa, Kansas.  Family received guests from 6 to 8 Sunday at the Church.

She was born August 5, 1927 to Alfred and Magdalene Koehn at Greensburg.  She married Melvin Dirks Sept 12, 1948 at Tampa.  

Survivors include: sons Bruce Dirks of Wellington, Colorado, and Bradley Dirks of rural Canton; daughters Charlene Becker of Moundridge and Donnalee Johnson of Piscataway, New Jersey; 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Howard Becker and husband Melvin Dirks.
