Vernon Jones

Services for Vernon H. Jones, Herington, were this morning at St. John Catholic Church in Herington. He died Oct. 4 at the age of 99.

Jones was born July 30, 1918 at Herington. He was a farmer.

He married Maxine M. Martin on Dec. 27, 1935, at Clay Center. She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Mike Jones; two brothers, Darrell and Melvin; and two sisters, Minnie Krause and Darlene Jones.

Survivors include daughters Patricia Stucky of Topeka and Marilyn Adair of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons Dennis Jones of Herington and Mark Jones of Marion; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the church or Herington Hospital Foundation, and can be sent to Zeiner Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.
