Violet Baxter

Private graveside services will be held for Violet J. Baxter, 90, who died March 25 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

She was born July 6, 1930, in rural Elyria to Oscar and Olga (Borth) Unruh.

She married Bob Baxter June 27, 1947, in Newton. He died in 2016.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughter, Judy Schrag of Hillsboro; brothers, Gene Unruh of Arizona and Tom Unruh of Aurora, Colorado; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Gnadenau cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice.
