Virginia Heinrichs

Virginia Rose Heinrichs, 85, of Ulysses, died April 17, 2009, at Bethany Home in Lindsborg.

Born Feb. 4, 1924, in Lehigh, she was the daughter of Peter and Rose (Galusha) Barkman.

She was a homemaker.

On Aug. 1, 1943, she married Abe Heinrichs in Dinuba, Calif. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include five sons, Roger Heinrichs of Aurora, Colo., Ralph Heinrichs of Wichita, Jack Heinrichs of Emporia, Robert Heinrichs of Ulysses, and Phillip Heinrichs of Hillsboro, Ore.; two daughters, Rosann Carter of Ulysses and Cindy Harris of McPherson; a sister, Vicki Barkman of Dinuba; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church of Hillsboro, with Pastor Loyal Martin presiding.

Burial is at Gnadenau Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Visitation is noon until service time Thursday at the church.

A memorial fund has been established with Tabor College.
