Vogt’s to close Sunday

New owners will reopen Feb. 17

After 89 years of service in Hillsboro, Vogt’s Hometown Market will close Feb. 2.

Manager Todd Vogt said selling the store to Heartland Foods was the right move for all involved.

“It just happened to be the right timing,” Vogt said. “It worked out for the both of us.”

Vogt’s owner, Karleen Vogt, said she plans to retire while Todd will continue working at the same location as a store manager.

Heartland Foods co-owner Paul Barnes said Vogt’s would be closed beginning Feb. 3 and Heartland Foods would begin business in its Hillsboro location two weeks later on Feb. 17.
