Voters out to make themselves heard with ballots

Early voting at Marion County Courthouse will continue through noon Nov. 1, and 128 voters have come to the courthouse to cast their ballots as of 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Tuesday’s tally was 27 voters.
That’s a pretty good day for this election,” poll worker Patricia Nystrom said.
Helen Reznichek, Patricia Nystrom, and Terry Nystrom checked voters in, handed them their ballots, and directed them to voting stalls on the courthouse’s main floor.
Polling locations for the Nov. 2 election will be:
- Burns Community Center, 301 N. Washington St.
- Florence Masonic Center, 421 Main St.
- Goessel City Building, 101 S Cedar St.
- Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 905 E. D St.
- Lincolnville Community Center, 213 W. 6th St.
- Eastmoor United Methodist Church, 105 Eastmoor Dr., Marion.
- Peabody Senior Center, 106 N. Walnut St.
- Tampa Senior Center, 100 Main St.
Hours at all locations will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
City elections
City elections will select Burns mayor and two city council seats, Durham mayor and five city council seats, Florence mayor and two city council seats, Goessel mayor and two city council seats, Hillsboro mayor and two city council seats, Lehigh mayor and five city council seats, Lincolnville mayor and two city council seats, Lost Springs mayor and five city council seats, two Marion city council seats, Peabody mayor and two city council seats, three Ramona city council seats, and three Tampa city council seats.
School boards
School board elections will select three board members for USD 397, three board members for USD 398, three board members for USD 408, three board members for USD 410, three board members for USD 411, three board members for USD 206, one board members for USD 284, three board members for USD 373, three board members for USD 460, and three board members for USD 481.
District boards
Three board members each will be elected for Improvement Districts #1, #2, and #3. Two board members will be elected to Chisholm Trail Extension District, and three to Cottonwood Valley Drainage District.
