Mike and Karen Jilka of Hillsboro and Buddy and Laurie Logan of Clay Center announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of the Ryan Michael Jilka to Kaitlyn Nicole Logan.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Hillsboro High School and 2005 graduate of Emporia State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He is a laboratory supervisor at Flint Hills Resources in Wichita. Ermal and LoVaunne Rasmusson, Beth Jilka, and the late Les Jilka are his grandparents.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Clay Center High School and a 2012 graduate of McPherson College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She will teach this fall at Lincoln Elementary School in Augusta. Florence and Ben Shaffer and Betty and Richard Logan are her grandparents.

The wedding will be Saturday at the SS Peter & Paul Parish Catholic Church in Clay Center.
