Hanschu grandson marries

Amanda Wells and Matthew Hanschu were married Oct. 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission. The Rev. Ron Flentgen officiated the ceremony.

Steven and Beth Hanschu of Emporia are the parents of the groom. Aileen and the late Ted Hanschu of Marion and Dorothy and the late Walt Krehbiel of Inman are his grandparents.

David and Sue Wells of Overland Park are the parents of the bride. Ken and Myrna Wells and Bob and Pat Rodina are her grandparents. Evelyn Hysell is her great-grandmother.

The groom has a degree in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning from Johnson County Community College. He works for XEC Inc. of Overland Park.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She is a registered nurse at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Mandy Daniels was the maid of honor. The bride’s other attendants were Lynn Houson, Kendall Burgess, and Kelsey Hall.

Jared Hanschu, brother of the groom, was best man. Scott Maley, Matt Long, and Jimmy Dintino were groomsmen.

Annabelle Clark, Sammy Daniels, and Addyson Long were flower girls. Chrystian Ward, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Soloists Joy Humbarger and Aaron Mitchum provided music. Sascha Groschang and Luann Granzow played the piano and cello.

Joshua Wells and Joseph Wells, brothers of the bride, were ushers.

The couple went to the western Caribbean for their honeymoon.

They reside in Lenexa.
