What is your favorite thing to do on Christmas with your family?

We, Karen Ehrlich, Julie Sellmeyer, and Lori Salts, like to drive through beautiful Marion and see the lights around town and on the lake.

— Sheri Schwab

Sit by the wood stove fire and watch movies while having eggnog or hot chocolate.

— Eileen Sieger

No Christmas is complete without the annual Bob Ehrlich Light Tour! Can’t wait.

— Julie Sellemeyer

Leave town. That is not fair, but when your children live elsewhere, that is where you want to be!

— Maggie Ballard Nichols

We watch “Christmas Vacation.” Our Christmases always seemed to be just like it.

— Teresa Gomez

We open gifts one at a time and it takes a couple of hours. We play games too.

— Phoebe Janzen

Seems like I always work on Christmas.

— Duane McCarty

We write notes. Each night we are together we write a note to each member of the family after dinner with the beginning, what I admire, what you will always remember, I love you because, and ect. We put the notes in each ones socks and then Christmas morning we read them and sometimes share them. Some notes are funny but many are usually what you’d expect, lovely and sentimental and I usually cry at least twice.

— Jackie Volbrecht

We used to always drive around the county lake and look at the lights. Now that the kids are grown and out, I’m just glad they come home for Christmas.

— Trayce Warner
