Clayton and Betty Wiebe had a family dinner on Oct. 13. Their guests were Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe and family and Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family. The October birthdays of Bev Wiebe, Sharon Koehn, Shay Lynn Koehn, and Caleb Wiebe were honored.
Some of those that attended the wedding reception for Adam and Bethany Dirks on Oct. 12 at Parkview Church were Roy and Nadine Davis, Melvin and Dorene Joy, Dale Jantz and Kent and Ginger Becker. Former Durham residents Tom and Rhonda Donahue from Colorado also came for the reception. Adam and Bethany were married in August in Hawaii.
Wanda Koehn left for Ohio on Oct. 9 to help and get acquainted with her new grandson. Hudson Taylor was born Oct. 5 to Christopher and Denise Schrock and a brother that helped welcome him home. Wanda returned home on Oct. 16.
Social life has been very little as everyone has been busy with the sowing of wheat and the fall harvest of beans and corn. We are awaiting a much, much needed rain for the wheat to emerge to get a growth before the cold weather sets in.
