Ransom and Lillian Wiebe left for Texline, Texas, to attend the wedding of their granddaughter Kristi Koehn to Justin Schmidt on March 28. The ceremony was March 30. While en route to the wedding, they visited friends at Bethel Home. The Wiebes also were overnight guests in the home of Delbert and Shirley Becker on March 28 and 29. On their way home they visited Bethel Home again, as well as the home of Ken and Anita Schmidt on March 31.
Others attending the wedding from the area were Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and Janesea; Mark and Kris Wiebe, Kayla, and Luke; Kendall and Susie Wiebe and family; Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family; and Justin and Rebecca Wiebe and family of Iowa. Jasper and Joni Zeist of Oklahoma also attended.
Senior citizens met at the Durham Community Building on March 26 for a potluck dinner. Patrons shared conversations about where they were born, the schools they attended, and where they live.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe had grandchildren Marcus and Rachel Koehn and family of Glen, Calif., and Bryan and Rebecca Thomas and family as supper guests on March 28. Rebecca and Rachel are sisters.
Hiram and Rhonda Wedel of Cantrell, Iowa, arrived at the home of Roy and Nadine Davis on March 28 to spend the weekend. Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys were additional guest on March 29. The Wedels departed for the home on March 30 in the early afternoon.
Larry and Wanda Wedel invited Terry and Robyn Schultz and family, and his parents Paul and Carol Schultz of Michigan, as well as Harry and Sheryle Rhodes and Sandy Wiebe to be their dinner guests on March 30.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe had the Travis Koehn family, Nelson Wiebe family, Calvin Wiebe family, and Wayne Wiebe family over for a family dinner on March 30 to celebrate Travis’s birthday.
Larry and Wanda Koehen had Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family and her parents Melvin and Elvera Penner of Rosanort, Manitoba Canada, as dinner guests on March 27.
Josh and Katelin Hendricks of Wamego were weekend guests of Mark and Barb Unruh from March 28 to 30. Sarah also spent the weekend with her parents.
Ken and Shelli Giesbrecht entertained Larry and Wanda Koehn Harlan and Sherry Koehen and Mark Warren and Jane Unruh and Aaron Herbel as their supper guests on March 30.
