NORTHWEST OF DURHAM:   Wiebes entertain guests

Dinner guests at the home of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe on March 2 were Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, Mark and Kris Wiebe, Kayla and Luke, Keela Smith and Cassia Koehn. They celebrated Shannon Wiebe’s 11th birthday.

Durham senior citizens met Feb. 26 at the community building for a potluck dinner. Joan Harmon and Joyce Medley were hostesses.

Those who attended a Rescue Mission March 1 in Salina were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Rick and LaVae Koehn and boys, Nelson and Bev Wiebe and family, and Mark and Kris Wiebe, Kayla and Luke. The presented a program and helped serve dinner. About 80 people attended.

Several suppers were held to benefit Cottonwood Grove Christian School. Dale and Kathy Jantz, Greg and Charlene Wedel and family, Troy and Marla Wiebe and family, and Calla Wengar held a dinner Feb. 24 at the school. A Chinese supper was served to 50 people.

Another supper was held March 2 at the home of Harlan and Sherry Koehn. Those attending were Roy and Nadine Davis, Tim Davis, Sandy Wiebe, Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, and Aaron Herbel.

The same day Wayne and Lora Lee Wiebe had a supper at their home. Those attending wre Ransom and Lilliam Wiebe, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Warren and Jane Unruh, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, and Harry and Sheryle Rhodes.
