Wiens leads Goessel boys

Goessel’s Zach Wiens hurdled his way to first and second place finishes May 5 at the Tescott Invitational track meet.
Wiens won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.75 seconds. In the 300-meter hurdles his fastest time of the season, 42.70, was good enough for second.
Chase Flaming was the only other Bluebird to score points individually, as he launched the shot put 38 feet, 11.25 inches, bettering his previous best by over a foot to place sixth.
The 4x100 meter relay finished sixth and the 4x400 relay came in fifth.
