Wrestlers finish 6th, 7th

Hillsboro finished sixth and Marion seventh out of 16 teams in last week Marion County Duels, sponsored by the two teams.

Hillsboro breezed through pool play 2-1, with decisive victories over Hesston and Fredonia, tumbling against eventual champion Buhler.

Sutton Redger went unbeaten on the night at 5-0, making short work of his opponents in less than one period. Aaron Hein and Lane Rogers went 4-1. 

For Marion, Colby Lollar went 4-0 in the 138-pound class. Trevor Schafers made his wrestling debut at 215 lbs and swept the board 3-0.

Other notable performances were Chance Shults going 4-1, and Caleb Darrow and Brian Nguyen going 2-2.
