Coach Scott O’Hare said Trojans wrestlers are starting to compete with more grit and intensity.
Levi Mendoza was Hillsboro’s top finisher, placing second. He defeated the No. 2-ranked 195-pound wrestler in the semi-finals.
Mac Bartel, Travis King, Kyle Horton, and Franklin Jost placed fifth in their respective weight class.
The Trojans hit the mat next at 9 a.m. Saturday in Eureka.
