Sam and Hilda Ratzloff of Hillsboro will be honored in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary on March 22. They were married Feb. 6, 1942, at the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel by Rev. Peter H. Unruh.

After the Trojans had blown a 10-point fourth quarter lead and went over five minutes without scoring, Darrin Hiebert bombed Belleville with a three-pointer as time expired in Hillsboro Saturday night to win the sub-state championship 50-49. The Trojans are third seed in the eight-team state tournament at Hutchinson and will play Nemaha Valley in the first round.

Hillsboro High School FFA ranked first in the 1992 South Central Kansas District FFA Dairy Foods Contest. Local youth on the team were Roxanne Goossen, Courtney Duerksen, Kevin Winter and Jason Bartel.

After only a few months in production, rural Hillsboro resident Lydia Hein will have her Kansas-made product featured on a radio broadcast. Hein started production on Grannie's Homemade Mustard several months ago. She has since been scheduled to appear on the Food Talk from the Land of Kansas radio show.

Mark and Barb Unruh of Durham announce the birth of their daughter, Sarah Alaine, born Tuesday, March 10. She weighed seven pounds four ounces and was 19 inches long. She has a sister, Katelin, 3 1/2. Grandparents are Eldon and Juanita Stutzman of Buhl, Idaho and Ronald and Dora Unruh of Durham. Great-grandparent is Wesley Unruh of Newton.
