HHS students Brian Kroeker and Megan Ranney now have their artwork on display at Emprise Bank. Harold Wiebe of Emprise Bank and teacher Bonnie Eaton coordinated the showing. Other students have artwork on display at Hillsboro Public Library.

More than 150 FFA members, parents and supporters enjoyed the FFA 1993 Chili Feed held at the ag classroom March 25. Featured on the program were addresses by high school FFA members Kendra Hein, Jeremy Duerksen and Ryan Peters.

Tabor College professor of choral and vocal music Dr. Jonah Kliewer will conduct the Reno County Choral Society in their 55th annual performance of Handel's Messiah on April 4.

Jeremy Clayton Johnson, a Hillsboro High School student, was awarded a certificate from Tandy Technology Scholars program.

A card shower for Adam Zimmerman and Mollie Lohery Zimmerman, who were married in Bison April 11, 1943, is planned to celebrate the couple's 50th wedding anniversary. Adam Zimmerman also plans to celebrate his 97th birthday on May 14.

Former Hillsboro pastor Kent Gaston, who now resides in Salina, will be going to the NCAA Final Four courtesy of his 14-year-old niece Rebekah Gaston of Liberal. Rebekah sent in 10 postcards with her dad's name on them in hopes of winning ESPN's Fabulous Five free trip to the Final Four in New Orleans, La. She won the trip, worth approximately $33,000, and is taking her dad, Kurt; uncles, Kent and Dale of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and grandfather, Karl, of Ellsworth.
