Tabor College has been successful in securing grants from a variety of foundations and corporations, subsequently meeting a number of campus needs. Corporations and their grants include IBM, $25,500 of computer equipment; Palliser Furniture; Teagle Foundation, $45,5000 for retention and enrollment growth; Zingrabe foundation, $20,000 in computer network accessories; and Crowell Trust, $15,500 for scholarships for students involved in summer ministry programs.

Tabor College profession of history and religion Dr. Richard Kyle recently had his third book published and released by Inter-Varsity Press. The book, "The Religious Fringe: A History of Alternative Religions in America," studies the history of religious groups in America spawned and nurtured from its earliest days.

Atmos Energy Corporation has announced it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Greeley Gas Company, Denver, Colo., by means of a tax-free merger. Atmos will exchange 2.33 million shares of its stock for all of the outstanding stock of Greeley. The transaction is to be accounted for as a pooling of interests.

Teacher Celia Gross and bus driver Paul Pankratz were honored at a dinner at the Olde Towne Restaurant after retiring from USD 410.

Joe and Mildred Jantz of Hillsboro celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 19-20 with a family get together, attending church at First Mennonite on Sunday morning, and dinner at noon. Joe and Mildred were married March 4, 1933, and have lived in Hillsboro all their lives.
