Orval and Rosella Suderman of rural Hillsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Gail Diane Suderman, of Hillsboro to Justin Lynn Dyck of Hillsboro, son of Lane and Linda Dyck of rural Tampa.
Andy and Kerry Shewey of Hillsboro announce the birth of a son, Grant Andrew, born Feb. 28 at Salem Hospital.
Colleen Koop has been promoted to vice president and Debra Ewert has been promoted to assistant vice president for Emprise Bank-Hillsboro. Koop has 15 years of experience and Ewert, six.
Nicole Friesen and Shannon Unruh, both HHS students, received I ratings at the State Piano Festival held in Wichita Feb. 19.
The golden wedding anniversary of Ira and Hilda Hein will be celebrated with an open house March 13 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Ira Hein and Hilda Suderman were married March 14, 1944, at the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church.
Rod Hamm, Tabor College women's basketball coach, will be rejoining the admissions department of the college on a full-time basis after two years in this position. Bob Godsey, assistant women's basketball coach, will be assuming the head coaching position at the completion of this season.
