USD #410 school board members met in special session Monday night and accepted the low bid of Conco Inc., Wichita, as the general contractor for the new Hillsboro Middle School building project.
Dale and Rachel Winter, Hillsboro, announce the birth of their daughter, Erin Elizabeth, born Sept. 23 at Salem Hospital. She weighed six pounds 14 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long. She has a brother, David, 3 1/2.
Hillsboro Arts and Crafts Fair director Deena Hawkins is reporting higher totals for both artists' sales and concessions. With 60 artists left to report, artists' sales have reached $735,000 up from $682,763 last year. Concession sales are $78,000 with several more to report. The attendance was approximately 30,000.
Enrollment numbers from the Kansas State High School Activities Association have been released from the 1994-95 school year. Hillsboro has 152 students.
P. Lou Greenhaw, Hillsboro, was installed as second vice president of the Kansas Pharmacies Association Saturday, Sept. 24, during the Kansas Pharmacists 114th annual meeting in Lawrence.
