Audrey Hett of Hillsboro is a member of Bethel college's student alumni association. SAA is a student organization that works to bring students, alumni, administration and friends of Bethel College close together.

Tabor College music faculty members Dr. Mark Suderman and Dr. Jonah Kliewer attended the 19th annual West Central Regional Convention of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Nov. 5-6.

Francine McLaughlin, daughter of Glen and Donna Thiessen of Hillsboro, has been named to the Salina Area Vo-Tech School's "A" honor roll for the first quarter in the dental assistant department. Students must have a 3.6 GPA of higher to quality for the "A" honor roll.

Bethel College Thresher volleyball player Amy Klassen was recently named the KCAC and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) District 10 player of the week. Klassen averaged 6.5 digs and 15 kills per game for the week in leading Bethel to wins over Kansas Newman and Tabor College.

Tina King, volleyball coach at Tabor College, was named All-District 10 coach of the year.

About 40 or 50 Hillsboro homes remain on the "uncontacted" list in the city's efforts to inspect the water/sewer connections across town. In his report, inspector Lynn Hagaman said he will give the city a final list of those he was unable to perform the inspection on so that the city officials could handle the matter.
