Hillsboro Middle School student John Schabel will have his artwork on display at Central National Bank of Marion County in Hillsboro for several weeks. Schabel used a special technique called "glazing" using layers of masking ape. He is the student of Bonnie Eaton and the son of John and Sharon Schabel.
Homes featured this year on the annual Holiday Home tour include Steve and Kathy Jury at 101 S. Ash; Don and Mildred Harding at 310 S. Main; Elgin and Sheree Glanzer at 305 Eisenhower, and the historic Schaeffler House at 312 E. Grand.
Eddie and Connie Weber of Hillsboro announce the birth of their daughter, Courtney Marie, born Nov. 18. She weighed 8 pounds and 9 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
Tabor College tight end Heath Marrs has been named to the second team offense 1993 All-District football team of district #10 of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Ken Bernhardt of St. Petersburg, Fla., arrived Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving week with his mother, Betty Bernhardt. Additional guests on Thanksgiving Day were Roland and Marjorie Krause, Dave and Suzanne Krause, Jordan and Joel, and Mark Krause, all of Wichita.
The Martin Jost family gathered to celebrate their annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Hillsboro Senior Center.
