Hillsboro High School will present "Murder Me, Murder Me Not," a murder mystery, May 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the HHS auditorium. The cast members are Rachel Mathis, B.J. Sommerfield, Tonya Fast, Jeremy Johnson, Ben Penner, and Russell Clark.

An original oil painting by Ruby Patton, Hillsboro artist, is featured in the Topeka office of State Rep. Duane Goossen of Goessel. Placement of the painting "Winter Garden" is sponsored by the Hillsboro Arts and Crafts Association. Each state legislator has a work of art on display in his or her office during the current legislative session.

The Tabor softball team ended its regular season 15-5 and 8-0 losses to Kansas Wesleyan. The Lady Jays lost 7-5 in the KCAC tournament to Sterling. Tabor ended the season with a 6-21 record.

Rochelle Funk, the third-leading hitter for the Cloud County Community College volleyball team last season, has signed to play with Pittsburg State University. Funk, a 5'10" sophomore from rural Marion, had 280 kills in helping Cloud County to a 46-7 record. A Hillsboro High School graduate, she is the daughter of Lester and Donna Funk of rural Marion.

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kroeker of Oklahoma City, Okla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Kay, to Doyle Jost, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Jost of Hillsboro. The bride-elect currently attends Tabor college and is working toward a degree in accounting. The prospective groom is a graduate of Tabor College and is currently employed in farming.
