Hillsboro High School boys and girls became the Class 3A 1995 State Champions. Members of the boys' team were Eric Clark, Jeff Kreutzinger, Brent Kyle, Andy Kleiber, Chris Chisholm, Nathan Galle, Eric Driggers, Jon Fast, C. J. Perry, Brice Hagen, Jon Christiansen, and Danny Buller.
Members of the girls' team were Beth Donahue, Nicole Friesen, Ruth Harder, Lisa Myers, Tesha Ratzlaff, Riann Hill, Lyn Loewen, Carrie Penner, Keli Chisholm, Nichole Suderman, Amy Voth, and Kim Winter.
David Buller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Galen Buller, Ingalls, has been honored for his performance in the Southwestern Company's nationally known summer marketing program.
Audrey Hett, junior from Hillsboro, has been named business manager for the Bethel College newspaper, The Collegian.
Students serving as pages for State Rep. Duane Goossen, 70th District, at the Statehouse in Topeka include Matt Esau, David Enns, Bailey Skiles and Morgan Hett. Esau and Enns attend Hillsboro Middle School while Skiles and Hett attend Florence Middle School.
The Hillsboro High School Agriculture Mechanics class is building eight junior soccer goals for the Hillsboro Sports Complex. Students are Ian Weisbeck, Chris Bartel, Anthony Thiessen, C. J. Regier, Justin Luna and Nathan Jost.
David Wiebe, director of the Hillsboro Historical Society, attended the regional conference of the Association for Living History Museums held at Austin, Texas, Feb. 16-18.
