Kathie Frenzen of Hillsboro has purchased Arnold Beauty Shop from former owner Doris Arnold. K.F. Images is the name of the new business.
Gib Suderman of Hillsboro and a member of the Marion County Fair Board was elected to the board of directors of the Kansas Fairs Association during the group's 70th annual convention Jan. 11 in Topeka.
The Menno Jost home was filled with activity Christmas week. Those joining them to celebrate were Joel and Lisa Schalla of Tulsa, Okla.; Lisa's parents, Jamie and Harriet Klassen of Lakewood, Colo.; and Ralph Klaassen from Lindale, Texas.
Hillsboro City Council members upgraded two insurance policies. By paying another $65 annually, the city council raised its insurance coverage from $25,000 to $40,000 to cover equipment at the municipal golf course. The council also agreed to purchase liability coverage for the airport.
Seventeen Tabor College students from Hillsboro have been listed on an honor roll released by the academic dean's office.
