New staff members at USD #410 include Dana Selzer, Sara Dahlsten, Jim Robb, Corey Burton, Jason Garr, Jeff Breit, Nicki Case, Don Zimmerman, Dwayne Wilson, and Sara Meisinger.

Dick D. Regier celebrated his 87th birthday Aug. 14. Those present to help him celebrate include his wife, Thelma; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Regier of Auroa, Neb.; Teresa Classen of Hillsboro; Gary and Kathy Regier, Angela and Samantha of Halstead; and Jack and Evelyn Regier of Hillsboro.

Thirty-eight county and area 4-H supporters paid a total of $13,310 in premiums to 61 4-H members selling 4-H project animals in the 1994 Marion County Fair livestock sale. The highest selling hog was owned by Jared Fish and brought a premium of $325 from Citizens State Bank of Goessel. The highest selling steer was owned by Ryan Peters and brought a premium of $375 from the State Bank of Canton.

Approximately 450 kids and adults participated in this year's summer recreation leagues, according to recreation director David Ediger.

Les Shaffer of Lehigh was recently named Student of the Phase in the automotive power trains course at Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. The award is given to the student who has the best record of academic achievement, lab performance, and attendance.
