USD #410 met in special session Tuesday and agreed on some building modifications needed to keep the new Hillsboro Middle School estimated project costs within the bond issue. The new middle school should have classroom space for 300 students.

Tabor College will hold its opening Bible conference Sept. 11-12 on the college campus. Interim president Dr. Clarence Hiebert will be the featured speaker and will take his themes from the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5.

Southwestern Bell Foundation's Kansas Independent College Excellence program is providing funding to enhance science educators at Tabor College. Tabor College recently was awarded $5,000 from Southwestern Bell to purchase equipment to use in all general education science courses.

Hillsboro High School football team lost to Inman, 13-7, Friday night. Hillsboro carried the ball 43 times for 40 yards and was one-of-12 in passing. Up next for the Trojans is Wichita Collegiate and De'Angelo Evans, who rushed for 3,000 yards last year.
