Thirty-one North American young people, including Christopher Dick of Hillsboro, have begun a year in Europe with the Intermenno Trainee program. Program participants spend a year in a European country working and living with European Mennonites.
Fall semester enrollment figures for Tabor College are down slightly from last fall. The count rests at 433 students in comparison to last year's 448.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held Friday to officially begin construction of the Hillsboro Sports Complex.
An estimated 30,000 people attended the Hillsboro Arts and Crafts Fair Saturday. Sales are expected to exceed the $700,000 high set last year. Fair officials and fairgoers were nervous during the first two hours of the fair due to the threat of rain, but a light drizzle didn't keep the shoppers home.
The Epp-Winter reunion was held Sept. 4 at Fairview, Okla., Fellowship Home. About 40 family members were present.
