After changing directions a few times and a year of planning, a senior living community to be called Park Village will soon be a reality in Hillsboro. The $6 million congregate living facility will provide housing for those needing services not provided in private homes or apartments. Work on Park Village should begin before November.

According to head coach Don Penner, Hillsboro High School's 35-6 win over Moundridge last Friday was a team effort. After three consecutive away games, the Trojans were glad to be on their home field.

The Don Petersens of Bethany Beach, Mich.., Williard Petersons, Mt. Prospect, Ill., and Rolph Hersheys, Wichita, visited Harry Thyes, Edythe Voth, Verma and Rosella Pankratz, all of Hillsboro, last weekend.

Two new city employees were introduced to city council members at its regular meeting. Rick Moss is currently working for the street department but will transfer to the sanitation department next year. Brady Bittel is working in the electric department.

The city has received a check for $3,730 from the Kiwanis Activity fund to pay for bleachers at the sports complex.
