Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norton Jost and family were Mrs. Tom Debbrecht, Gary and Danielle of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jost and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Foth and Shane. Mr. Debbrecht and another son were unable to attend because of illness.

Staff reductions, building committee reports and school bus sales highlighted the USD 410 Board of Education agenda Monday night.

Mrs. Ed Springer and Amy were the honored guests at a neighborhood coffee which was held in the home of Esther Penner on Wednesday. Invited guests were Mrs. J.E. Klassen, Mrs. John B. Jost, Mrs. Hugo Hiebert, Mrs. Vernon Heideland, and Mrs. P.H. Klassen.

Members of Future, a Hillsboro High School class, took a field trip to hear E.F. Schumacher in Salina Tuesday evening. Schumacher is the author of Small Is Beautiful. Students attending were Layne Reusser, Dan Kliewer, Dan DeForest, Carey Flaming, Kay Bartel, and Becky Suderman.

Hillsboro High School's business class, which placed second in the secretarial skills contest at Bethel College, included Eileen Duggan, Anita Ulsh, Marcia Plett, Christy Friesen, Cheryl Franz, Mona Wedel, Kay Bartel, Krista Pankratz, Debbie Unruh, and Barbara Ediger.

With an ample supply of returning letter winners, the Hillsboro High School track teams look strong for the 1977 season. Coach Don Penner, whose charges finished third in the CVL a year ago, has 10 veterans back.
