Joel Groening, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Groening of Hillsboro has been accepted at Tabor college for the 1977-78 school year.
Kevin Pankratz, Hillsboro High School Senior, won the Dairy Proficiency Award at the District Future Farmers of America banquet at Moundridge.
The USD 410 Teachers Association has its annual spring banquet March 20. Nancy Lindberg of Lyons, secretary-treasurer of KNEA was the guest speaker.
Nellie Wiens and Edna Wiens spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Mr. and Mrs. Dan Klein in Peabody.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Winter returned Sunday evening from a weekend with his brother Mr. and Mrs. Leo Winter in Tulsa, Okla.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for improvement at Hillsboro Industrial Park were held March 23. The ceremonies were held for street, water and sewer improvement.
Candidates for school board positions are Marlin Janzen, Deena Hawkins, Lorin Neufeld, Janie Decker, Cameron Roatch, and Marvin Ratzlaff.
