Two representatives of Tri-Rivers Cable TV presented plans that called for the fall construction start on a cable television system for Hillsboro at the Tuesday night session of the Hillsboro City Council.
Mr. and Mrs. James Dalke of Hillsboro announce the birth of their daughter, Adrianna Lynn, born July 31. Paternal grandmother is Mrs. A.H. Dalke and maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bliss, all of Hillsboro.
An 18-year-old Hillsboro girl was injured in a one-vehicle accident July 26 at approximately 3 p.m. on a country road eight miles west and two south of Durham. Sharolyn Ollenburger remained hospitalized Tuesday night with cuts and bruises suffered when the car she was driving went out of control into a ravine striking an embankment.
Stone Prairie Life Center, located seven miles southwest of Marion, will be the meeting place of a national gathering of the Movement for a New Society to take place between July 28 and Aug. 5. Stone Prairie was originally called Cedar Rest and served for many years as the County Poor Farm. Its current owner, Nancy Hart, intends to use it to serve a different type of need. It will serve as a center for study, contemplation and dialogue for those seeking to lead simpler lifestyles and to building a more peaceful and just society and world.
