Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Bredemeier of 213 S. Floral Drive announce the birth of their second son, Jeremy Carl, born Feb. 20 at Salem Hospital. He and his three-year-old brother, Wade, are the grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. William Meier of Hillsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Bredemeier of Marion.
Hillsboro's Trojans, champions of the Chase County 2-A regional and owners of a 16-6 season, tackle Mid-Kansas League foe Inman, 15-7, in the 8 p.m. game of the Halstead 2-A Sub-State tournament Friday night.
Jack Braun, assistant professor of speech and drama at Tabor College, has been appointed dean of student development.
Monday, the chairman of the Junior High Study Committee, Clark Wiebe, took a tour of certain USD 410 structures being considered as places for the junior high school for next year. The places inspected were the old shop and vocational agriculture classrooms at the high school, the basement of the high school west building, and the present junior high facilities at Lehigh.
The Hillsboro Business and Professional Women's Club delivered 11 Welcome Wagon baskets supplied by the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce. Baskets were delivered to Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hubble, Marge Loewen, Alma McCoy, Thomas Likiens, Lonnie Hamm, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fortney, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin C. Funk, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kejr, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Jost, Gerald Ediger and Larry Tajchman.
Mr. and Richard Ollek have returned to their home after spending two and a half months in San Benito, Texas.
