The message was clear Monday night at the public hearing on closing the Durham school facility: Durham patrons want the USD 410 Board of Education to be absolutely certain they are making the right decision before classes are disbanded there.
March has been the time for the one-person art exhibit of Marlys Penner of Hillsboro in the gallery of the McPherson Public Library. Works which are on exhibit are watercolors, oil paintings and drawings.
Audrey Berg, Salome Friesen, Dorothy Funk, Gertrude Leschke, Rosella Pankratz, and Edna Wait, all of the Hillsboro Business and Professional Women's Club, were guests of the Newton Business and Professional Women's Club Monday evening.
Elaine Leppke and Ida Frantz called on Martha Frantz Sunday afternoon. Joyce Thiessen and Marilyn and Martha Frantz called on Mollie Senner in Marion Tuesday afternoon.
