Hillsboro City Council met in special session Thursday to interview a candidate for the position of city administrator. Mayor Harold Wiebe, councilmen Dean Schroeder, Allen Funk and Eldon Brandt attended the session to interview Goodland city administrator.

Mr. and Mrs. James Thiessen, Michelle and Marilyn spent the Easter holidays in Tucson, Ariz., with Dr. and Mrs. Allen Hiebert, Mark and Julie.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry L. Unruh of Hillsboro announce the birth of their son, Justin Mark, born April 1 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in Newton.

Carol Wiebe was elected to the board of directors of the Hillsboro Development Corporation April 13. Wiebe will fill out the one-year term of Carl Metzger who resigned his position recently.

Four 1980 automobiles are featured in premiere showing at Irv Schroeder County Motors Inc. The front-wheel drive autos are on display this weekend.

The Golden Wheat Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia will meet in Wichita Sunday after at the Ryan Library Lecture Hall on the Kansas Newman College campus.

Tabor College surpassed its $60,000 fund raising goal by $6,000 during a phone-a-thon held last week.
