Mr. and Mrs. David A. Schultz of Delft, Minn., and Rev. and Mrs. Henry Brucks of Winnipeg, Manitoba, announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Nancy and Paul.
Carla Calam of Hillsboro will wind up a brilliant senior year at Hutchinson Saturday night as she has been chosen to play in the first annual Mid-Kansas Basketball Classic.
Wilmer Thiessen, a member of the Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services secretariat for the past five years, has been appointed general manager of the Mennonite Brethren Publishing House in Hillsboro.
Restroom facilities at Memorial Park will become a reality this summer. The facilities are located on the west side of the entrance to the park.
The Hillsboro Public Library has received notification that its classification has been upgraded from community library to core library in 1980.

After supper a birthday surprise was given for Hannah. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Delton Ollenburger and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Ollenburger, and Sherri and Vernon Jantz, Mrs. Merle Schlehuber, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kleiber and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Klein, Rhoda Motronga and Mrs. And Mrs. Wendell Dirks and son.
