Mr. and Mrs. Don Weinbrenner of Hillsboro announce the engagement of their daughter Lori Suzanne to Dennis Funk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Funk of Hillsboro. Both are 1978 graduates of Hillsboro High School. She is attending Hesston College, and he is farming.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schauf of Beaver announce the engagement of their daughter Sharon Kay to Glen Prieb son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Prieb of Lehigh. The bride-to-be is a 1977 graduate of Hoisington High School and an 1978 graduate of Brown Mackie College. She is employed as a medical laboratory assistant at St. John's Hospital in Salina. The groom-to-be is a 1977 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1979 graduate of Saline Area Vo-Tech School. He is employed as a diesel mechanic by Salina Truck Sales Inc., in Salina.
Patricia Kay Wiebe, bride-elect of Donovan Funk, was feted with a linen shower May 4 at the Eldon Funk home. Hostesses were Janice Funk, Mrs. Jonas Frantz and Mrs. Daniel Frantz.
More than 80 young people entered the craziest costume judging and parade for the second annual Crazy Daze in Hillsboro on Saturday. Winners in the customer costumes contest were Marci Abrahams, first; Kay Suderman, second; and Todd Hein, third.
