Grand Street is going in with concrete being poured this week. Mammoth equipment and a mass of workers are moving slowly down the street from the west. Curbing is put in at the same time as the street.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hodel returned Sept. 28 from a two week's visit with their children, Loren and Rosemary Hodel and family, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is stationed with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete P. Klassen visited their children, Gerald and Amy Klassen, in Pueblo, Colo. They also visited San Isabel National Forest. En route home they stopped at Ulysses to visit with their children, Eugene and Helen Klassen.

Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Patry were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wegerer and Mrs. John Patry of Marion; Letha Eberle of Peabody; and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barkman, Chris, Colleen and Clinton of Hillsboro. They celebrated the birthdays of Mrs. John Patry and Margaret Barkman.

Mr. and Mrs. Levi H. Suderman were in Haysville Sunday evening to visit with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Griswold and sons. In addition to teaching in the Haysville school system, Griswold pastors a church in Zenith.

Esther and Anna Bartel entertained the Tabor College volleyball team Sunday evening in their home in honor of Grace Jaworsky's birthday.
