Kerry Denison became the first Tabor football player to be named as a first team player on the NAIA All-American squad. Denison, Bluejay wide receiver, made the first team of the select NAIA Division II squad on the strength of 64 receptions for 1,303 yards and 11 touchdowns. Denison averaged 130.3 yards per game, second best in the nation.

This year's Marion County Crop Walk surpassed the $12,000 goal set last July. A total of 228 walkers and bikers raised $12,021 from the Sept. 30 walk.

Both Hillsboro Kiwanis Clubs are joining a nationwide letter writing project demanding the release of the American hostages being held in Teheran.

The Tabor College library recently received a beautiful edition of "The Prologue" to Chaucer's The Canterbery Tales from the Martin S. Ackerman Foundation. The edition is one of 250 copies signed by the author. Tabor received copy 161.

Thirty members of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met in the Community Room of First National Bank for a salad luncheon Dec. 1. Hostesses were Mathilda Bartel, Viola Jost, Mildred Lamborn, and Janet Terman.

USD 410 Board of Education called a special meeting for Wednesday at the central office to decide on acceptance of the Interlocal Agreement for the Marion County Special Education Cooperative. In a letter to board members, Dr. Robert C. Brown, superintendent of schools, explained that the agreement must be adopted by each board of education involved before approval can be gained from the State Department of Education.
