Ron Suderman, rural route 2, was elected commander of Hillsboro American Legion Post 366. Other officers include Elmo Rahe, first vice president; Larry Funk, second vice president; Arnold Klassen, adjutant; M.V. Hefley, chaplain; Norton Goertz, finance and service officer; James Dalke, Mike Knak, sergeant at arms; Ray Johnson, assistant sergeant at arms; Dean Schroeder and Allen Plenert, board members.

Several resignations will be considered by the USD 410 Board of Education at its monthly meeting. Resignations have been received from Mickey Cross, physical education and HHS girls coach; Lon Dormer, head of the HHS English Department; Duane Penner, HHS English instructor and publications adviser; Eleanor Balzer, elementary instruction. Extensions of the April 15 deadline have been requested by Thelma Werth, counselor; Gladys and Harvey Jantz, elementary principal and librarian, respectively.

The Kiwanis Club of Hillsboro has been selected as an Honor Club in Multiple Service, Emerald Section, by the International Committee on Achievement. The honor is the highest recognition that a Kiwanis Club in the 26-45 member category could receive for service during the 1976-77 administrative year.

Virginia Vanek and Joy Caldwell were elected co-chairmen of the Hillsboro PRIDE committee.
