Houseguests of Mrs. P.J. Unruh for the past two weeks were her sisters, Mildred and Edna Regehr of Bakersfield, Calif. They also visited with their brother-in-law P.E. Klassen and other family and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Klassen, Dale and Diane and Martha Franz were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Franz.

Stanley Friesen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Friesen of Hillsboro has been admitted to Bethel College for the 1978-79 school year. Friesen has attended Tabor college the past two years and is interested in commercial art studies.

Hillsboro Junior High School had to settle for second place behind the strong Florence Wildcats in the Flint Hills League track meet April 27 at Tabor College track. Florence out-pointed Hillsboro 410 point to 392 points.

Teacher's association representatives turned down an offer of a $9,000 base salary at the Monday night session of negotiations between them and USD 410 Board of Education.

Susan Flaming of Hillsboro has been chosen May Student of the Month at Brown Mackie College in Salina. Susan is enrolled in the fashion merchandising program. A 1977 graduate of Hillsboro High, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Flaming of Hillsboro.
